The Yin and Yang symbol It consists of a circle, di- vided by a curved line. The black half represents Yin energies, the white half represents Yang energies. One side cannot exist without the other.
The curved line splits the circle into two teardrop shapes, which symbolise the ascending and descending nature of the energies in their cyclical flow and state of constant shift. The curves repre- sent motion, movement.
A small circle of the opposite colour is situated in the centre of each half, symbolises that each side carries the essence of the other.
The white circle in the black area and the black circle in the white area symbolise, co-existence, duality, harmony and unity to form a whole.
