CZ Card Empowerment Blessings of Sara - la - Kali Saint Sarah, also known as Sara-la-Kali "Sara the Black", is the mythic patron saint of the Gypsy people. The center of her veneration is Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, a place of pilgrimage in the Camargue, in southern France. Legend identifies her as the servant of one of the Three Marys, with whom she is supposed to have arrived in the Camargue. Or Pilgrimage of the Gypsies to the shrine of Saintes - Maries - de -la -Mer held each year on May 24 and 25. Many Gypsies use the opportunity to hold a family assembly and as a time to baptized their infants. The statue of Sara is brought forth from an underground crypt. Carried on the shoulders of the gypsies and accompanied by the pilgrims, is taken on a colorful procession to the sea.
