Described as a great warrior with a "blackened face ", Gwyn is intimately associated with the other world in medieval Welsh literature, and is associated with the international tradition of the Wild Hunt.
He is said to Dean over the other world kingdom of Annwn Which has a secret entrance in the Welsh Lakes.
Gwyn Ap Nudd has, it is said, a palace beneath the Tor of Glastonbury in Somerset.
